There are some which are safety approved, on the boot description it will say if they are the Industrial Line.

Dr. Martens are made in UK whole sizes. No half sizes Medium widths only
They are made in UK sizes. There are no mens UK or womens UK. Its just UK

Fitting Tips:
To find your UK size from a mens, subtract one. Example, mens usa 10 -1 = UK 9
To find your UK size from a womens, subtract two. Example, womens usa 10-2= uk 8

If you are a half size, this tip works for most people;
Round up then convert. Example, mens usa 10.5, round up to mens usa 11 - 1 = UK 10

Sometimes also a heavy sock or insole can take up a half size.
